This Cookie Policy explains how BRIGHTFIELD Kommanditbolag (“Brightfield”, “we”, “us” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on https://brightfield.se (the “Website”). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They may be set by the website you visit (first-party cookies) or by an external service used by that website (third-party cookies).

Some cookies are deleted when you close your browser (session cookies). Others remain on your device for a defined period or until you delete them (persistent cookies). Similar technologies, such as local storage, may be used for comparable purposes.

2. How we use cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

  • operate and secure the Website;
  • remember your cookie preferences;
  • understand how visitors use the Website and improve its content and performance; and
  • provide optional embedded features, such as Google Maps.

Strictly necessary cookies are used because they are required for the Website to function and do not require consent. We use analytics cookies and activate third-party embedded content only with your consent, where consent is required by law.

3. Cookies and similar technologies used on the Website

Google Analytics may collect information such as pages visited, approximate location derived from an IP address, device and browser information, referring pages, and the time and duration of a visit. We use this information to understand Website performance and improve our content. Analytics cookies are not set until you consent to analytics cookies.

For more information, see Google’s Privacy Policy.

Functional third-party content

The Contacts page includes an embedded Google Maps feature. If you consent to functional third-party content and load the map, Google may set or read cookies such as NID, SOCS, CONSENT, AEC, DV or equivalent cookies. These may be used to display the map, maintain security, remember preferences and measure use of Google’s services. Their duration varies from the browsing session to up to two years, depending on the cookie, your settings and Google’s current implementation.

Google Maps content is provided by Google. Until you consent, the map should remain blocked and be replaced by a notice allowing you to activate it. For more information, see the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service and Google’s Privacy Policy.

4. Your choices

When you first visit the Website, you can:

  • accept all cookies;
  • reject all non-essential cookies; or
  • select which optional categories you permit.

Rejecting optional cookies will not prevent you from using the essential parts of the Website. You may withdraw or change your consent at any time by selecting Cookie Settings in the Website footer. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that took place before the withdrawal.

You can also use your browser settings to block or delete cookies. Browser controls vary, so consult your browser’s help documentation. Deleting cookies may also delete your saved cookie preferences, in which case we may ask you to make a new selection.

5. International data transfers

Some third-party providers, including Google, may process information outside Sweden or the European Economic Area. Where required, such transfers are protected through an adequacy decision, the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework for participating organisations, the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, or another lawful transfer mechanism, together with supplementary safeguards where appropriate.

6. Changes to this Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when we change the technologies used on the Website or when legal requirements change. The date at the top shows when the Policy was last updated. Material changes will be communicated through the Website or the cookie preference tool where appropriate.
